Court set sentence of "Case Juliana Kafrique"

Luanda- The provincial court of Luanda scheduled for Friday, January 24, the reading of the ruling of the National Police agent Gonçalo Sakala Ganga, accused of killing the informal seller Juliana Kafrique, in April 2019, in the Rocha Pinto neighborhood.

The 36-year-old third-class agent, placed in Maianga, Command, shot deadly 28-year-old Juliana Kafrique at the place where she was engaged in commercial activity.

On Monday, at the last session of the trial, which began eight days ago, the court heard the deponents and the final allegations, where the prosecutor's office asked for the defendant's conviction.

The victim's lawyer, Cipriano Casu, asked that the guilt and the civil liability be shared with the Angolan State, having proposed compensation of 200 million kwanzas.

The death of Juliana Kafrique, who left three younger children, occurred on Avenida 21 de Janeiro, Rocha Pinto neighborhood.
