Government committed to improving journalists conditions
Ndalatando - The Angolan Government remains committed to strengthening the social conditions of journalists, through better salaries, training opportunities and dignifying the working conditions of professionals, reaffirmed last Friday in Ndalatando, Cuanza Norte, Mass Media minister, Nuno Anjos Caldas Albino “Nuno Carnaval”.

The Cabinet minister who was speaking in the framework of a 48-hour visit to Cuanza Norte, also stressed the reinforcement of the staff valorization, the restructuring and technological modernization of the organs, as well as the expansion of radio and television signals nationwide.
Nuno Albino said that several projects are underway based on different axes, with emphasis on the resizing of public media, which should be focused on strengthening the publicizing of Angola's potential at the international level.
Among the sector's priorities, he also pointed out the promotion of reforms and adjustment of the legislative package of the Social Communication, aiming to ensure a greater impulse to the performance of the organs, through the adoption of rules and incentives for the sector's professionals performances.
The creation of a “Social Communication Research Center”, aimed at coordinating and implementing new sector strategies, is also part of the actions planned.
Nuno Albino explained that his visit to Cuanza Norte is part of an action plan aimed at verifying the functioning, the social situation of professionals in the field, as well as the technical conditions and infrastructures of public media organizations.
