50 tanker trucks for drinking water supply in Luanda
Luanda - The province of Luanda has 50 tanker trucks to distribute drinking water to the most needy people, under the contingency plan for the prevention of COVID-19 in the country.

According to a press release from the Luanda Public Water Company (EPAL), coordinator of the Infrastructure Office of the Provincial Government of Luanda for the Free Water Distribution Plan to sensitive areas and populations, it initially had 30 trucks and since Wednesday it has increased to 50.
In order to assess the implementation degree, according to the note, the Minister of Energy and Water, João Batista Borges, visited the premises of the Multiparques Company, where the management and coordination committee for the distribution of free water was installed, to verify the execution of the actions proposed in the current contingency plan.
According to the assessment made during the visit of the Coordination of the Free Water Distribution Management and Coordination Committee, it was concluded that another 20 trucks should be added to the 30 initially planned to speed up the contingency plan in Luanda.
This visit also served to guide EPAL's coordination in order to get this precious good to the neighborhoods and areas where the water still doesn't reach.
