Journalists training centre to undergo facelift - minister

Luanda - Angolan minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Media Manuel Homem has announced plans to turn the Journalists Training Center (CEFOJOR) into a renowned centre to ensure better training and upgrading of professionals of the sector.

Manuel Homem made the pledge at the end of his visit to CEFOJOR on Friday, stressing that the exercise will entail improving of infrastructure, update the technological material and internal restructuring.

He also said that the transformation process will count on support by specialists from the Ministry, as the revision of its organic statute is already underway.
 

The minister mentioned the creation of human, organisational and valuation conditions at all levels, as crucial to attain these goals.

"If we want to have increasingly better social communication, and closer to the objective for what it has been created, it is essential that we have excellent human resources", he added.

On the other hand, he said there is already a collaborative work with several institutions at international level dedicated to training in the area of ??social and organisational communication.
 

Manuel Homen appealed to CEFOJOR staff for commitment, stressing that "after a storm comes a calm".
