Media Nova Group gets new management

Luanda - A management board in charge of Media Nova S.A. Group, which comprises some media outlets - O País, Rádio Mais and TV Zimbo - was appointed Monday by the minister of Telecommunications, Information Technology and Media, Manuel Homem.

According to a note from Telecommunications, Information Technology and Media Ministry that reached Angop on Monday, the board is headed by Paulo Bernardo Neto who appointed general coordinator.

Also joining the management journalist Daniel Paulo da Costa, as  coordinator for O País, and Cristiano Barros for Rádio Mais.

The new management includes Alda Moniz, who was appointed coordinator for legal affairs, Álvaro Fernão for Administration and Finance and Aleck Navalha Dias in charge of Trade and Marketing.

The team has 120 days to complete the restructuring tasks before submitting the final report. 

The former board of director ended its function, under the restructuring process of the company.

The State took over the management of TV Zimbo, Rádio Mais and the newspaper O País, on July 30, as part of the process to recover assets created with public funds, under Government's strategy to fight corruption, according to a note from the Attorney General's Office (PGR).
