The decision followed recent negotiations between Union representatives and the company's officials, according to the secretary general of the pilots' Union, Horácio Cruz.

Cruz also announced another meeting between the parties on 23 October.

He also said that the 140-strong trade union pilot demanded among others the improvement of a salary of about USD 8,000 (even equivalent in kwanza).

Demand includes fair allowances for international travel, valuation and remuneration equity among professionals with the same functions, to avoid brain drain among professionals.

Angola's TAAG Airline is among the 195 companies the executive plans to privatize until 2022, as part of Privatization Programme (ProPriv).
