Lobito - Academica do Lobito defeated 1º de Agosto 1-0 on saturday in a match of the 27th round of the first division national football championship (Girabola 2022/23), played at the Buraco stadium, in Lobito City.
With a temperature of 29 degrees, the game started very balanced, with both teams turned to attack.
While Academica were trying to maintain their unbeaten record at home, 1º de Agosto were doing everything to not lag behind in the title race with Petro.
In the second half, 1º de Agosto started with the same posture, continuing to press, without, however, managing to score.
Speaking in a post match press conference Academica's coach, Agostinho Tramagal, said he was pleased that his team had fulfilled the purpose of not losing at home.
He promised to keep working to maintain the same posture in the next games.
1º de Agosto coach, Filipe Nzanza, congratulated Académica for being very brave, but regretted, on the other hand, the performance of the referee, who, in his opinion, missed two major penalties in favour of his team in the first half.
"Football is like that, let's raise our heads and keep working to win the next games", Nzanza said.
