Afrobasket`2021: Whitney Miguel, Clarisse Mpaka join national basketball team

Luanda - The centre forward Whitney Miguel of the France’s Roanne team and the point guard Clarisse Mpaka of the US La Glarie, joined on Thursday the senior women's national basketball team ahead of the 2021 Afrobasket to be held in September, in Cameroon.

The information was disclosed to ANGOP by the vice-president of the Angola Basketball Federation, Nacissela Maurício, who added that two more players from Portuguese teams are expected to join the national team on Friday, namely, Nazaré Lopes and Marcia Carvalho.

Angola qualified directly for the 2021 Afrobasket after the call off of the Zonal qualifying tournament scheduled for August 16 and 23.
