Luanda - The Angola National Under-16 Men's Basketball Team beat Rwanda 60-59 on Monday in Monastir, Tunisia, in a match of the 4th round of the African Championship of the category (Afrobasket2023),

The match played at the Salles Mohamed Mzali Arena recorded a balance, with Angola winning the first and third quarters (19-18/18-9), while Rwanda got the better of the second and fourth quarters (15-17 - 8-15).

With this result, the national team occupy the second position with 7 points in Group A, whose leader is Mali with 8 points, Rwanda with 6, Ivory Coast with 5 and Tunisia with 3 points.

On Sunday, in their third match, Angola beat Tunisia 48-45 but were defeated 43-67 by Mali in their opening match.

On the other hand, in their third game of the championship, the women's team got their second win after beating Rwanda 74-42, not forgetting Saturday's 78-51 loss to Morocco.

With that, they occupy second place in Group B with five (5) points, behind the leaders Mali (6). VAB/MRA/jmc
