Luanda - The last phase of the Afrobasket2021 qualifiers, in which Angola enter on Friday, starts Wednesday afternoon in Tunis (Tunisia), with the games between Nigeria and South Sudan, at 5 pm, and Mali - Rwanda, two hours later, of the group D.
The city of Tunis hosts groups A, D and E in this crucial stage of qualifying and the other two (B and C) define the qualification in Yaoundé, Cameroon, in the tournament that run until February 21, with Angola set to face Mozambique in their first match.
This decisive stage is a kind of second round of the five groups of four teams each, to define the 15 teams that will join the host Rwanda to play the next African Nations Basketball Championship "Afrobasket2021", to be held from August 24th to September 5th in Kigali, capital of Rwanda.
For Thursday (2nd day of the tournament) are scheduled the matches between Egypt-Uganda and Cape Verde-Morocco (group E), while on Friday eight matches will be played.
The Angolan team will face Mozambique, at 20:00, at the Multipurpose Sports Palace in Yaoundé, but before that play, in the opening of group B, at the same venue, the national teams of Kenya and Senegal will meet.
