Luanda – Angola’s 1º de Agosto were eliminated on Thursday from the CAF Confederation Cup qualifiers by Tanzania's Namungo despite beating the latter at home by 3-1in the second leg.

The Angolan team was thrashed 2-6 in the first leg.

Moya scored twice (27' and 52'), and Jo (90+3) scored the third goal, in a match that the Angolans were in disadvantage in the early stage of the match.

1º de Agosto played without two key players who tested positive for covid-19 namely midfielder Makaya and striker Zini, in addition to the five other players ,who had been ruled out after testing positive namely (Bobó, Mabululo, Mário, Neblu and Boni).

1º de Agosto lost the knockout stage by 5-7.
