Luanda – South Africa’s football team Kaiser Chiefs have held a training session on Monday in Luanda, to get familiar with Angolan capital’s 11 de Novembro football stadium pitch, with a view to the match with local 1° de Agosto, for the qualifiers for the Caf Champions League on Tuesday.

Kaiser Chiefs that arrived in Luanda on Sunday will play 1º de Agosto for the second leg match of the qualifiers for the league’s group stage.

In their first encounter, Chiefs and d’Agosto played in South Africa to a goalless draw.

Comprising about 40 members, among players, technicians and officials, Kaiser Chiefs are booked at a Luanda hotel under tight sanitary control measures due to the new variant of the Sars-Cov-2 virus currently hitting severely South Africa.

Angolan authorities recently decided to temporarily ban trips between both countries, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but an exception has been made by the country’s concerned Interministerial Commission tasked with matters associated with the new coronavirus.
