Luanda - The Angolan senior women's handball team is in group A of the 13th edition of the African competition to take place in Ghana, Accra on March 13 to 22.

Angola national team, the defending champions will face Algeria, Burkina Faso and Ghana in group A, while Cameroon, runners-up, are in Group B with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Uganda and Mali.

Coached by Spanish Carlos Viver, the national team, also known as "the pearls", will take part in the competition only with players who play for the country's clubs.

Marta Alberto, Eliane Paulo and Paulina da Silva (goalkeepers), Nairia João and Bongo Masseu (left wingers), Dolores do Rosário and Luzia Kiala (right wingers),

Estefânia Venâncio, Tayane Castro, Lília and Mário (centre-halves), Bernardeth Belo and Marília Quizelete (left wingers), Chelsia Gabriel, Regina Lino and Dalva

Peres (centre backs),

Vilma Nenganga and Juliana Machado (right-backs), Vivaldo da Silva and Isabel Guialo (left midfielders), are the summoned players.
