Angola handball team preparing for World Cup in Macedonia

Luanda - The national junior women's handball team began their preparations for the World Cup, which will take place in Macedonia from 19 to 30 June.

 This first cycle of preparation will take place at the 1º of August academy, with field work until the 17th, on a two-day basis.

 For the preparation, coach José Shuma has called up twenty players, with most of them belonging to 1.º de Agosto club.

 In the last edition of the cup, held in Slovenia in 2022, the national team finished sixth, the best ever for an African team.

 The selected players are Carla Mulabo, Juliana Dala, Daniela Neto, Noélsia Kuissua (goalkeeper), Sandy Fernandes, Liliane Mario, Marissoni Capessa (centre forward), Bernadeth Belo, Elizandra Luango, Rita Xavier, Carla Martins (centre back), Jorcela Tumba (left-back), Anissia Carvalho, Lurdes Pedro, Lambertina Ferreira (right-back), Balbina Nunda, Ivandra Geraldo (right-winger), Alda Viol, Rosa Matos, Isabel Simões and Isabel Cateco (left-winger).
