AFCON2023 causes rise on FIFA Ranking

Luanda – The Angola football team rose 24 places in the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) Ranking, as a result of a good performance at AFCON'2023, held in Côte d'Ivoire.

In the first update of the 2024 National Team Ranking, released this Thursday, Angola is now in 93rd position, with 1,240.88 points, appearing in the top-100 of the best teams in the world.

The Ranking continues to be led by Argentina, with 1,855 points, followed by France (1,845) and England (1,800).

In addition to Angola, AFCON'2023 also propelled Nigeria (+14) and Côte d'Ivoire (+10), the latter being the champion of the 34th edition of the continental competition.
