Luanda - The Angola and Comoros national football teams drew 0-0 on Tuesday in the second International Association Football Federation (FIFA) friendly match of the year, played at the Stadium Grand in Marrakesh, Morocco.
As is usually the case in friendly matches, the two coaching staffs were unconcerned with the result, prioritising minutes for their respective players.
After Angola's defeat last week to hosts Morocco (0-1), with an own goal, and the Comoros' 4-0 thrashing of Uganda, it was expected that the contenders would put in a better performance.
The less competitive and more study-orientated game strategy may be explained taking into account the return to the 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign, scheduled for June, where Angola will face Eswatine and Cameroon in Group D matches of the 3rd and 4th rounds.
