Handball: Angola get first win in Olympic Games

Luanda – The Angolan senior females National Handball Team this Saturday dawn beat Japan by 28-25, as part of Group A’s fourth round of the Olympic Games happening in Japan, Tokyo 2020.

By half time, the Angolan squad coached by Filipe Cruz were winning the game by 15-13, in an encounter that showed a better Angolan team, compared to their previous games in this competition.  

 

With this win, Angola increase the hope to qualify for the quarter-finals of the competition. For such, on Monday, the Angolan ladies need to overcome South Korea , in the fifth and last round of the group stage.

 

Angola lost the previous encounters, namely with Monte Negro, Norway and The Netherlands.
