Luanda – Angola national senior women's handball team thrashed 39-14 the debutant Cape Verde on Wednesday in the first match of the group C of the African Handball Championship being held in Yaoundé (Cameroon).
Without great technical and tactical arguments, the Cape Verdeans succumbed to the greater power of the defending champions, who were already winning at halftime by 16-5.
The African handball championship qualifies for the World Cup to be held in Spain, in December.
