Angola beat Kenya in Afrobasket`2025 qualifying

Luanda – Angola national senior men's basketball team beat Kenya 88-58 on Saturday in the second game of the group E qualifiers for Afrobasket`2025 taking place in Hammamet (Tunisia).

This is the second win for Angola in the quest for a spot for next year's continental event, after beating Republic of Guinea 76-70 on Friday.

Jilson Bango was the top scorer with 19 points, while Childe Dundão, with 18 points, was the second highest scorer for the Angolan side.

With this win, Angola take the lead of group E with four points, followed by Tunisia (two), the same as Kenya, while Guinea have just one point.

Tunisia will face the Republic of Guinea in the final game of group E.

In the first round on Friday, the Angolans beat Guinea 76-70 in their opening game, while Kenya were beaten 90-69 by Tunisia.

Angola return to action on Sunday in the final round of this phase.
