Luanda - Angolan swimmer Yano Elias failed to score at the World Aquatics  Championships taking place in Doha, Qatar, after finishing over the deadline in the 5km open water race.

The last time clocked was by Georgia's Davit Sikharulidze, who crossed the finish line in 1h:04:52.10, in 72nd place.

Angola is also competing in pure swimming, with swimmers Henrique Mascarenhas, who will compete in the 200m and 100m freestyle, along with Lia Lima, in the 100m and 200m butterfly and Nhara Fernandes, who will have a double round swimming in the 50m freestyle and breaststroke, respectively.
