Luanda - Bureaucratic problems have made it impossible for Yanick Moreira to  joint the National Basketball Team, which begins Wednesday in Kigali (Rwanda), the race for the Afrobasket' 2021 qualification, the chairperson of the Angolan Basketball Federation (FAB), Moniz Silva,  said.

The AEK of Athens (Greece) player even bought his ticket, but bureaucratic situations prevented him from joining the national team, which debuts against Mozambique.

The FAB’s chairperson explained that he talked (by phone) with the player and it was clear that there was no lack of willingness on the part of the athlete, who even anticipated the purchase of the ticket to arrive in the country in time.

The leader of the FAB added that the 29 years old basketball player has said he is ready to respond to join the national team whenever he is called.

Led by José Neto Joaquim Pedro, the national team integrates Childe Dundão, Carlos Morais, José António, Olímpio Cipriano, Gerson Gonçalves, Melvyn da Silva, Leonel Paulo, Aboubakar Gakou, Jone Pedro, Valdelício Joaquim and Jacques da Conceição (Galitos de Portugal).
