Cabinda - The premature death of the head coach of Mixed of Cabinda in wheelchair basketball, Raul Adriano Puna, leaves sports fans particularly dismayed.

In a note released last Monday to which ANGOP had access, the provincial body regrets the sudden death of the former national coach, occurred last Saturday, at his residence in this city.

For the vice president of the Paralympic Association in the province, Pedro Bimona, the coach´s physical disappearance constitutes an irreparable loss for having been a technician that contributed to the development of sport inside and outside Cabinda province.

The 37-year old coach and physical education teacher, Raul Puna assumed in 2000 the position of main coach of Mixed of Cabinda, current national champions.

In 2013, he coached the national wheelchair basketball team at the African Championship that Angola organized. He was considered the best national coach in 2019.

Among various achievements, it stands out six national championships, five Lwiny Cup trophies and two super cups, one as the leader of a local club and the other for Kabuscorp do Palanca.
