Luanda - The posture and performance of the National Football Team, which allowed the 3-0 victory over Namibia, and a passage to the 34th edition of the African Championship of Nations (Can´2023), in Côte d’Ivoire, deserved praise from Youth and Sports Minister Palmira Barbosa.

Speaking to the press, after watching the round of 16 play, disputed, today (Saturday), at “le Paix stadium” in Bouaké, the minister said that Angola's team was willingly and had a behavior that determined a dignifying result for the country.

“What we just observed was a team with an attitude focused on achieving victory, which allowed them to qualify for the CAN quarter-finals. Therefore, the team was very determined and will continue to deserve the support of all Angolans, including the President of the Republic, João Lourenço”, she said.

With this triumph, Angola faces, in the quarterfinals, the winner of the game between Nigeria and Cameroon. Vab/DOJ
