David Silva wins Cuca Cup in Chess

Luanda - International Master (IM) David Silva, from Ditrov School, conquered this Sunday the Cuca Cup in chess, with seven points, after defeating Josemar Cabingano, from Mentes Brilhantes School.

Jeovani Dias, from J.J school, with 6.5 points, and Master Fide (MF) Domingos Júnior (from Macovi) with 6 points completed the podium of the tournament disputed by 15 chess players, all representing Luanda-based teams.

In the female class, the winner was Master Fide (MF) Ednásia Júnior, from Macovi school, with seven points, followed by Jemima Paulo, from Ditrov school, with 5.5, and Delfina João, from Team Leader, with 5 points, among eight participants.

Firmino Silva (JJ school) was the less ranked, with one and a half points, in the male sector, while the last female position was Ana dos Santos (Macovi), with only one point.

In male category, the competition was disputed in the Swiss system with nine rounds with a game rhythm of one hour for each player to finish the game and an increase of 15 seconds per movement.
