Luanda - The second defeat recorded by the Angolan judoka Diassonema Neide, on the world circuits, puts her at risk of qualification to the Tokyo Olympic Games (Japan), scheduled for 23 July to 8 August this year.

According to her coach Antónia de Fátima "Faia", speaking to ANGOP last Saturday, the athlete needs to add victories in other tournaments and earn points to guarantee her presence in Tokyo.

The coach, a former practitioner of the sport, commented on Neide's defeat last Thursday by penalization, in the "Grand Slam" of Tel Aviv (Israel), against the Italian Verónica Toniolo.

She stressed that financial issues have made it difficult for the judoka of 1º de Agosto to be followed up in person.

"It has been difficult to guide the athlete via whatsApp, especially during competitions, where she no longer has access to the Internet," added the coach.

The coach said she was aware that the Angolan Olympic Committee is struggling due to the global financial crisis and that the new team of the federation is still organizing itself, but in her view the effort must be doubled for the athlete to participate in the Tokyo games , "because it is a nation objective".
