Luanda - The Angola Football Federation (FAF), Monday said it is experiencing the most difficult periods in 42 years of its existence, which has been aggravated by the Covid-19 pandemic.

In a note released on the occasion of the anniversary of the country’s soccer governing body that is marked on August 9, FAF stresses that, despite this, it is proud of the achievements of history, divided between golden moments and of extreme difficulties.

The document adds that the current context is embodied in the internal reorganization, infrastructure and investment in training in search of solid performances in the national team with the aim to put Angolan football at higher levels.

It adds that the date should serve as a reflection to all practitioners and lovers of football, both in sports or social areas.

"United and in a combined way we must overcome this difficult period that humanity is facing in the fight against the pandemic of Covid-19, so that the return to normality is as fast as possible and that way we can develop the national football", reads the note.

The Angolan Football Federation (FAF) was founded on August 9, 1979.
