Lubango - At least 15.8 Kwanzas are needed annually by the Angolan Football Federation (FAF), to cover expenses related to management and support to the various levels.
Annually, FAF spends close to seven billion Kwanzas for the national teams, as well as on administrative issues.
According to the FAF president, Artur Almeida e Silva, who provided the information in Lubango, FAF currently survives on sponsorships, but with the crisis of the Covid-19 pandemic revenues have been substantially reduced.
Without revealing the amount he receives from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mr. Almeida considered it few to cover the running costs of the institution, adding that the federation continues to work in search of alternatives to overcome the financial deficit.
