Federation holds draw for Angola Cup

Uíge - The match between Ferrovia do Huambo and Carmona Sport Clube do Uíge is the main highlight of the second preliminary round of the 41st edition of the Angola League Cup in football, according to the draw held on Thursday in the Province of Uíge.

Ferrovia do Huambo have already played in the second division National Football Championship, while Carmona Sport Clube do Uíge occupy first place in series A of the First division of the National Football Championship dubbed as "Girabola2023/24" qualifying zone, with 13 points.

The country's top teams (Petro de Luanda, 1º de Agosto, Interclube, Sagrada Esperança and Kabuscorp do Palanca) are exempt from the round of thirty-two.

They will start in the competition's round of 16, which takes place on 15 May this year.

The quarter-finals are scheduled for 22 May, while the semi-finals are set for 12 June.

With the stadium yet to be named, the final of this 41st edition of the Angolan Cup is scheduled for 15 June.

The round of thirty-two matches will be played on 17 April, while the preliminary rounds will take place on 27 March and 10 April.
