Lobito - Académica do Lobito beat Bravos do Maquis 1-0 this Wednesday, in Benguela Province, in an early match of the ninth round of the national football championship, Girabola 2023/24, played at the Buraco stadium in Lobito.
Académica do Lobito´s goal was scored by the striker Aisson.
With this result, the Lobito team have 10 points, while Bravos do Maquis remain with 7.
"It was a very difficult game", said Académica coach João Pintar, adding “with this victory, the boys are more motivated to achieve better results”.
For Mário Soares, coach of the Bravos do Maquis, despite the defeat, his team dominated the game.
He congratulated his opponents on their victory and promised to work towards positive results, as his team needs to pick up points.
In the next round, Académica do Lobito will play Desportivo da Lunda Sul, but only to be played in January 10, 2024, due to the Africa Cup of Nations competitions.
Bravos do Maquis will face Wiliete de Benguela.
