Luanda - Angolan international assistant referee Jerson Emiliano dos Santos is due to take part in the Africa Cup of Nations for the six time along with debutant Ivanildo Lopes.
The two Angolan assistant referrers make up the list of the total 64 selected by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for the 34th Africa Cup of Nations to be held from January 13 to February 11 in Côte d'Ivoire.
Born in Huíla province, Jerson dos Santos has been a member of the Angolan Football Federation (FAF) refereeing staff since 2004.
He was promoted to international category in 2009, in which he has already taken part in 458 matches, including CAN U-17, U23, honors, CHAN, COSAFA and at club level.

Ivanildo Lopes, another member of the Angolan duo selected by CAF, will be making his debut at the final stage of the continent's main football competition.
He has already been involved in two continental competitions, namely CHAN '2022 in Algeria (an African competition reserved for players who play in the respective countries) and the Southern Region Cup (COSAFA'2020) in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
He was one of the assistant referees at the Under-20 World Cup in Argentina in 2022 and has been a member of the Luanda Provincial Football Association (APFL) since the age of 18.
