Cuito - Sporting do Bié won the "João Custódio da Silva" football super cup Saturday in Cuito city, central Bie province beating Sporting de Catabola 2-0.
The goals in the match, played at the Eucaliptos stadium, were scored by Gildo and Cacande, in the 69th and 74th minutes respectively.
Sporting do Bié, who thus dethroned their opponents, will represent the province in the national phase of the Angolan Cup.
At the end of the match, the assistant coach of Sporting do Bié, Mateus Conjo, said that winning the provincial cup would galvanise his charges in the second division championship, where they are competing for a place in the next national first division footbal championship, Girabola.
