Dundo - Sagrada Esperança head coach, Roque Sapiri, has said his team’s 1-0 victory over Petro de Luanda on Thursday, which enabled them to climb to the second position of the national top division football championship, will motivate his team and contribute to a more ambitious second.

Speaking in a post match press conference, he said his team has reached the goal outlined for the first stage. Sagrada Esperança are runners up with 32 points, one less than the leader 1º de Agosto with 33 points.

Sapiri added that it was a difficult game, but the team had technical and tactical ability to nullify the opponents and manage to position themselves among the top three in the standings at the end of the first round.

Petro de Luanda head coach in his turn justified the defeat by citing lack of defensive concentration, nervousness and lack of effectiveness of the players, considering that the defeat does not compromise the goal of becoming champions.
