Girabola: Sagrada Esperança beat Cuando Cubango FC

Dundo - Sagrada Esperança da Lunda Norte got their win in the first division National Football Championship "Girabola", when they thrashed this Saturday, by 3-0, the Cuando Cubango FC team, in a game counting for the tournament’s fourth round.

The game, initially scheduled for 3:30 pm, only started at 4:00 pm, as Cuando Cubango FC requested that the Lundas team and the referees perform Covid-19 tests again, to reconfirm the results presented to the health officials and the medical team.

 

The match started with the Lundas creating the first chances when, in the 10th minute, goalkeeper Rochaná made a tight save after an opponent attack.

 

On 23 minutes, Sagrada Esperança took the lead, through a penalty scored by forward Lima, who scored his first goal in the championship.

 

In the second half, the Sagrada squad (Lundas) expanded the advantage. At 67 minutes, Jó Paciência, who left the bench, took advantage of an incomplete save by goalkeeper Rochaná and on the insistence shot, scored the second goal.

 

The home team scored again after 80 minutes, by Matengó.

 

With this result, Sagrada Esperança rise to 7th position, with four points, while Cuando Cubango go down to the 10th place on the championship standing.
