Caála - The coordinator of the technical commission of Recreativo da Caála, Silvano Cussanda, said the team have dedicated the 1-0 Monday win against Sagrada Esperança to the late  head coach, David dos Santos Dias, who died recently.

"Despite being shaken by the untimely death of our leader, we gave a positive response against Sagrada Esperança, so we pay tribute to David Dias, dedicating this victory to him," Mr. Cussanda said.

Speaking in a post match press conference, Cussanda said the team will continue to work to win the last two remaining matches in the national first division football championship.

Sagrada Esperança head coach, Roque Sapiri, admitted that the defensive sector failed, underscoring that despite the defeat, nothing is lost and everything will be done to win the national championship.

Recreativo da Caála are 5th with 43 points.

The championship is co-led by Sagrada Esperança and Petro de Luanda both with 64 points.
