Sports Ministry secures support to CAHB head

Luanda - The Minister of Youth and Sports, Ana Paulo do Sacramento, expressed institutional support to the newly elected vice president of the Confederation of African Handball (CAHB), the Angolan Pedro Godinho.

The support was expressed to the press at the end of an audience to congratulate  the work Mr. Godinho has made in the country, where for 12 years he was president of the Angolan Handball Federation (FAAND).

Without advancing a time horizon, the minister said the goal is to create decent facilities to allow national federations and Angolan citizens at the service of international institutions to provide good service.

"We put ourselves available for any support that may be needed by the Angolan government," the minister said.

Pedro Godinho, in his turn, stressed the need to work for greater training of national coaches and referees to aid the country to maintain its hegemony on the continent.

Pedro Godinho was reelected vice chairperson of the African Handball Confederation led by the Beninese Aremou Monsorou.
