Luanda - The goalkeeper of the National Football Team, Adilson Cipriano “Neblú”, was honored in the neighborhood that saw him grow, in Luanda, after a positive performance in the African Nations Championship (AFCON 2023), held in Côte d' Ivoire.

The event that was held on Sunday, more precisely in Rocha Pinto ward, was attended by Neblu’s teammates, family, friends and fan club, who provided moments of pure emotion for the number one (1) goalkeeper of the “Palancas Negras” (Sable Antelopes).

Neblú marked his second appearance in the Nations Cup, after his debut in 2019, in Egypt.

The 30-year old goalkeeper was fundamental in the Angolan team's campaign, which culminated in the quarter-finals of the continental competition that took place in Côte d'Ivoire from January 13th to February 11th, won by the hosts.

The goalkeeper is 1.83 meters tall and has already 39 international caps for the National Team.

The 1.º de Agosto player made his debut with Palancas Negras at 18 years of age.

His performance in AFCON2023 was marked by two distinct moments: the first where he was preponderant in the 1-1 draw in the debut with Algeria and in the victories against Burkina Faso (2-0) and Mauritania (3-2).

The second notable moment was in the 3-0 victory over Namibia, where he was sent off after 20 minutes, for defending the ball with his hands, outside the penalty area.

Therefore, he was left out of the quarter-final match against Nigeria, in which Angola lost 0-1, having been replaced by Dominique.
