Saurimo - The candidate of list B for the presidency of the Angolan Handball Federation, José Amaral, has defended in the province of Lunda Sul the need for this body to coordinate policies that can make the sport more homogeneous, taking into account its expansion.

José Amaral was speaking at a meeting with members of the association, clubs and sports agents, during which he presented his programme for 2020/2024.

He referred to a disparity between the practice of handball in the country's capital (Luanda) and in the other provinces, a situation that he intends to reverse, should he be elected.

He promises to work for the growth and development of handball, starting by supporting, in addition to clubs, existing schools and creating institutions dedicated to training.

The objective is, among others, to attract the largest number of children and young people to practice handball throughout the national territory.

The programme also includes the creation of conditions for the country to achieve the African title in male seniors, training of coaches and managers, in addition to professionalising referees.

The list - B features, among others, Benedito Manuel (chairman of the board of the general meeting), Nair Almeida, Domingos do Nascimento, Ana Paula da Silva and Óscar do Nascimento (vice chairmen) and Adérito Cavala (secretary).
