Judo Elite win third edition of Judo Tournament

Huambo – Luanda’s Elite judo team won on Tuesday the 3rd edition of the interprovincial judo tournament dubbed "Judocas de Pancada", after achieving four gold medals, ANGOP has learnt.

The Piaget of Benguela team with one gold and two silver medals ended in the second position, while Tchikwamanga of Huambo, with one gold and one bronze medal finished in the 3rd position.

The competition, organized by the Judo Association of Huambo province was disputed in the categories of less 50, 56, 60, 66, 73, 81, 90 1 and more than 100 kilograms, for men, and less 42, 48 and 52 kg, for women.

A total of 110 judo fighters from the provinces of Benguela, Bié, Cuando Cubango, Huambo, Huíla and Luanda, participated in the competition.
