Luanda - Luanda Provincial Court of First Instance overturned on Thursday the decision of the Jurisdictional Council of the Angolan Football Federation (FAF) to relegate Kabuscorp do Palanca to second division football championship, following an injunction requested by the club.

With this decision, FAF cannot enforce the decision of the Jurisdictional Council, which decided to relegate Kabuscorp do Palanca to second division.

Now, as the next step, Kabuscorp do Palanca must file the main action in which the merits of the case will be discussed and a final decision to be reached on the case.

The document states that the Court also overturned the decision of the FAF Jurisdictional Court to suspend Kabuscorp’s president, Bento Kangamba, from all sporting activity for four years.

Recently, the FAF Jurisdictional Court reduced the penalties imposed on Petro de Luanda and Academica do Lobito and maintained the sanction on Kabuscorp do Palanca, following allegations of corruption in an audio that went viral on social media.

Petro and Académica were fined 4,000 UCF (1 UCF equals 88 Kz) reversing the previous decision of the Disciplinary Council that suspended them for two years from all competitions.

The FAF Jurisdictional Court however, dismissed the appeals for annulment of the decision handed down to Académica do Lobito coach , maintaining the four-year suspension handed down to Agostinho Tramagal, who will also have to pay a fine of 6,000 UCF.MC/AMP
