Luena – With four consecutive games without a win, Bravos do Maquis face 1º de Agosto at home on Friday in the 10th round of Angola’s football top division seeking to return to winning days.

Bravos do Maquis are currently 11th-placed with 8pts, while 1º de Agosto are in the seventh position with 10pts,  in a game in which both teams will be under pressure to return to winning days.

Bravos do Maquis have conceded three consecutive defeats against Kabuscorp do Palanca 0-1, Wiliete de Benguela and Académica do Lobito, 1-0 and a draw to Desportivo da Huíla.

In eight games the team recorded four defeats, two wins and two draws, conceding six goals and scored four, while 1º de Agosto have two wins and an equal number of defeats and four draws, scoring nine goals and conceding eight.

Bravos do Maquis must win to avoid a deepening "crisis of results" against an opponent that is also facing tough times in the championship after being winless in three consecutive matches.

 In terms of record, 1º de Agosto takes the edge with 24 wins,13 draws, scored 63 goals and conceded 31 , compared to five wins for Bravos do Maquis in a total of 42 games played since 1999, the year the Maquis made their debut in the National Championship.
