Women's handball team prepare for African games

Luanda - Improvements in defence, attack and tactics dominated the first training session of the senior women's national handball team on Monday, in Luanda, as part of their preparation to take part in the African Games to take place in Accra, Ghana from 13 to 22 March.

For two hours, the morning session took place at the Paulo Bunze pavilion, with the involvement of the nineteen players pre-selected, twelve of them from 1º de Agosto squad and seven from Petro de Luanda.

Coached by the Spanish Carlos Viver, the National Team also known as The Pearls are looking to retain the title  won in the 2019 edition in Rabat, Morocco.

Marta Alberto, Eliane Paulo, Paulina da Silva who are the goalkeepers, Nairia Caquintas, M'Bongo Masseu are the left winger, Dolores do Rosário, Luzia Kiala are the Right winger, Liliane Mario, Thayane Castro, Estefânia Venâncio (Pivot), Bernadeth Belo, Marilia Quizelete (Left Back), Chelcia Gabriel, Regina Lino, Dalva Peres (Centre Back), Vilma Nenganga, Juliana Machado (Right Midfielder), Vivalda da Silva and Isabel Guialo (Left Midfielder).
