Luanda – A goal scored by the Congolese Kebano at 63 minutes put the Angolan National Team out of the 2022 African Cup of Nations (AFCON2022) race that will be played in Cameroon.

Angolan players were unable to turn into goals the few opportunities that they created in the 11 de Novembro Stadium, in Luanda, playing against of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Strategic and way more experienced, the Congolese started the game by putting pressure on the attack and, until close to minute 15, kept the hosts in their last stronghold.

Angola suffered the solitary goal of the match in the 63rd minute, by Kebano, rewarding, in some way, the most offensive posture of the visitors throughout the challenge.

With only one point (two games left) the national team can only reach seven. The Gambia and Gabon total seven points each and the DRC now have with six points.

The top two teams in each group qualify for Cameroon'2022.

The fifth and penultimate round will be played in March 2021, while Angola will play away, with Gambia leader of the group, while the DRC play against Gabon.
