AGT provides seminar on 2024 budget and fiscal implications

Cuito - More than eighty tax taxpayers, including businesspeople, jurists, accountants and bankers, from the province of Bié, were elucidated by the General Tax Administration (AGT), on fiscal measures related to the current General State Budget (OGE’2024) execution.

On Thursday, the said taxpayers learned about tax contributions on foreign exchange operations, related to the transfer of currency abroad, Corporation Tax Code, as well as the changes that occurred in the Value Added Tax (VAT) Code.

The participants were also clarified on some measures relating to the Labor Income Tax, which no longer has a linear exemption of up to 100 thousand kwanzas, and several clarifications on the differentiation of social security contributions with other taxes.

On the occasion, the tax litigation technician at AGT-Cuito, Mateus Paulo, told ANGOP that the idea of the training is to share knowledge linked to the changes that the current State Budget.

He explained that the training programme also covered lawyers and accountants, so that they could help inform local taxpayers about the new fiscal measures.

He announced that this programme will be ongoing, taking into account the increase in revenue collection needed for the State Coffers. JEC/PLB/CF/jmc
