Luanda - More than 40 companies, out of the 150 scheduled for the exhibition, signed up for the Third Edition of ANGOTIC 2023, the International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies in Angola, to be held from 12 to 14 June in Luanda, informed today the national director of Telecommunications, Information Technologies, Matias Borges.
In an interview with ANGOP, he stressed that there is a great demand from national and international companies to attend the event to be held at the facilities of the Talatona Convention Center, under the motto "Connectivity and Technological Modernization".
Matias Borges made it known that the registered companies are in the sectors of agriculture, health, environment, banking, among others.
As for the themes, the official explained that they will be linked to the space star field, with speakers who will look at health, education, gender and ICTs, education at national and international level, innovation and technological trends.
The director said that a food court and a music square will also be set up where several artists will sing.
Fiber optic network expansion
Matias Borges highlighted that the government continues to develop actions for the extension and improvement of access infrastructures.
“There is also a project that is currently underway, which is the construction of two data centers, as the government understood that communication and data are very important information for everyone. For that, it is necessary that they be safeguarded at national the level”, he said.
ANGOTIC 2023 is a global event on information and communication technologies, held and promoted by the Angola Government, through the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication.
The event aims to promote debate around current, global and future ICT issues, promote knowledge sharing, facilitate networking for government entities, exhibitors, specialists, as well as present innovations as well as trends in the sector.
