Luanda - The Multisectoral Census Commission expects to register 35 million inhabitants in Angola in the second census to be held on July 19 this year, the organization's spokesperson, Hernane Luís, revealed Friday in Luanda.

Speaking to the press, as a summary of the meeting of the multiple bodies involved in the process, the source clarified that the cartographic updating process taking place since January is at 60.6%, which he considered positive.

He said that the provinces of Lunda-Sul, Cuanza-Norte and Bengo have already completed the updating process and, in the coming days, the last two will support Luanda with 95 cartographers.

He stated that the completion of the process in Cabinda, Cuanza-Sul, Lunda-Norte and Cuando Cubango is expected within the next three weeks.

The Multisectoral Census Commission meeting was chaired by the Minister of State and Head of the Military House of the President, Francisco Furtado. ML/AC/DOJ
