Ndalatando - An animal ration factory, with capacity of 20 tons/hour, was inaugurated today (Saturday), in Lucala municipality by the Minister of State for Economic Coordination, Manuel Nunes Júnior.

Called "Rações KN", this private investment guarantees 150 jobs in the agricultural and industrial sectors, with a workforce of 50 direct and indirect workers.

The factory unit was built in an area of over ten hectares. It has a production and storage capacity of 2,500 tonnes of corn and 1,500 tonnes of soy.

The inauguration of the factory is part of the official launch of new financial products for the agricultural sector, implemented by the Angolan Development Bank (BDA), under the guidance of the Minister of State for Economic Coordination, Manuel Nunes Júnior, 

Speaking at the inauguration of the project, the head of the company, Rogério Leonardo, who did not disclose the amount of the investment, said that the factory was prepared to double its stock capacity in the current year.

During this period, he said, it is expected to increase storage capacity to 8,000 tonnes, with the start of operation of a granulator with a capacity of 10 tonnes/hour.
