Over Kz 347.7 billion loan for real economy

Luanda - Commercial banks have already granted loans totalling 347.77 billion  kwanzas (US$539.17 million) to the real sector of the economy.

So far, 213 loans have been granted, 160% of which with effective disbursements, according to a note published by the National Bank of Angola (BNA) to which ANGOP had access.

The amount disbursed by the commercial banks up until March totalled Kz 247.96 billion, representing an increase of Kz 37.48 billion (17.81 percent) against February 2021.

In March, 38 new loans were disbursed to the real sector of the economy, under Notice 10/2020, of 3 April which was extended to December of this year.

Also according to the Central Bank, by March 2021, the financial amount approved by the banking sector accounts for 195% of the minimum established in the BNA standard on credit to the real sector of the economy, while the amount actually disbursed corresponds to 139.28% of the minimum amount to be granted by April 2021.

The number of banks that met the minimum limit of 2.50% of their Net Assets rose to 15 in relation to February 2021, namely Banco Millennium Atlântico (ATL), Banco Caixa Geral de Angola (BCGA,) Banco de Crédito do Huambo (BCH), Banco de Fomento Angola ( BFA), Standard Bank Angola (SBA).
