Angola committed to pay debt to contractors

Cuito – Angolan minister of Finance Vera Daves said Thursday that the Angolan Executive is committed to paying the debt to the contractors, provided that it is certified, in order to boost the entrepreneurs.

The Cabinet minister made the pledge while speaking to the press in central Bie province, at the end of a few-hour visit to the region.

The official met with the local business class, having reiterated the payment of the debt, which is mainly documented by the authorities.  

In order to address the issue, the businessmen are requested to send evidence to the Ministry of Finance.

However, Vera Daves noted that the Executive will give priority to the payment of the certified debt, while the non-certified one can be processed through the General Department of the State Administration (IGAE), with a view to deserving its proper treatment in terms of auditing.

In addition to reassuring local businessmen, the minister requested the provincial government, through the Studies and Planning Office, to forward to the Ministry all the evidence they have, certifying that the debt incurred by the State is credible. for payment.
