Filomena Farm invests USD 3 million in construction of slaughterhouse

Caxito - At least USD three million are being spent by Filomena Farm, located in Panguila, Bengo province, on building of a slaughterhouse with capacity to slaughter one million chickens per day.

Construction of the abattoir, which is expected to start operating in June, is part of the farm's overall project, estimated at USD 50 million, which aims to expand its activities.

At the moment, the farm has 12 sheds with a total of 1,2 million chickens, the executive director, Abbas Nasrallah, told the press on Tuesday.

The projects also include the construction of two more sheds (going from 12 to 14 sheds) with a capacity of 85,000 chickens each and the processing of eggs into mayonnaise .
