Luanda - The Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Mário Oliveira, recommended on Friday, in Luanda, the improvement of the innovative projects exhibited at the ITEL Technological Innovation Fair (FITITEL/2023), so that they are at the effective service of society.

By having contact with the innovative projects of the students of the Institute of Telecommunications of Luanda (ITEL), during the visit made to FITITEL/2023, the government official recognized that the innovations have great potential to be feasible and move to the experimental phase, production and commercialization.

As an example, he pointed out the motorcycle taxi driver control project, a technological tool that allows the operation of the motorized only with the use of the helmet, as one of the innovations capable of minimizing the road accident rate in the country.

Therefore, Mário Oliveira called on the business sector to support the transformation of the projects exhibited at the fair into a reality, making use of the students' creations, which can be useful to society and the national economy.

“The ideas are clear, it is only up to entrepreneurs and industries to work so that it can be transformed into concrete actions,” he said.

The official stressed that the projects presented by ITEL coincide with the work being developed by the Provincial Government of Luanda related to the organization of urban traffic, a fact that could contribute significantly to the reduction of road accidents.

The fair takes place under the motto “Technological innovation at the service of road safety”, FITITEL/2023 aims, essentially, to show the valences and skills that students have acquired during the four years of training, presenting solutions that solve problems of business and social.

Promoted by the Luanda Telecommunications Institute, with the support of the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technology and Social Communication (MINTTICS), the event takes place from 7 to 9 this month, at ITEL's facilities, with more than four thousand visitors expected, who may have the opportunity to attend 10 lectures, to be given by 20 national experts.
